Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism does not save you. Baptism is a symbol that you are already saved. It is a way to tell or show fellow Believers that are not ashamed of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Who Should be Baptized?

Everyone who has trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior should be baptized. "Those who accepted his message were baptized." Acts 2:41 (NIV)

When Should I Be Baptized?

  • As soon as possible!

  • New Testament followers of Jesus were baptized immediately after putting their trust in Him as their Lord and Savior.

  • Bethel baptizes believers during our Sunday morning services.

Why Should I Be Baptized?

  • Jesus commanded it. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

  • It is an act of obedience.

  • It is a public declaration of your Faith. "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in Heaven." Matthew 10:32 (NIV)

Where Will I Be Baptized?

We baptize believers at Bethel in our heated baptismal pool, behind the choir.

How Will I Be Baptized?

Believer's baptism is by immersion. It represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
