Pastor Jim Davidson
Pastor Jim was born in Charlotte, NC in 1974. He is the only child of Bill and Sallie Davidson and grew up in the rural community of Indian Trail, NC. Following his call into the ministry in 1991, he attended Gardner-Webb University where he received his B.A. degree in Religious Education (1996) and his Master of Divinity degree (1999). Following his ordination into the Gospel Ministry, he was called as the Minister of Youth and Recreation at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where he served for 3 years.
Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Jim felt called to serve his God and his Country in military ministry and was commissioned as a Chaplain in the North Carolina Army National Guard in January of 2003. He was deployed to Iraq where he served as a Battalion Chaplain in Operation Iraqi Freedom II from October 2003 until January 2005. Jim is currently the Deputy Division Chaplain for the 29th Infantry Division located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.
Jim was married to his best friend, Jennifer Leigh Hoosier, on June 18, 2005. Jim accepted the call to pastor Bethel Baptist Church in February 2006. Jim and Jennifer currently reside in King George, Virginia with their daughter, Bella Grace.
