We at Bethel Baptist Church are very glad that you are considering the possibility of visiting us and hope that your time with us will become invaluable to you. Here at Bethel Baptist, we try to make sure the first thing you see when you walk through the doors is a smiling face ready to assist you and your family in whatever needs you may have. When people are checking out a church, they deserve straight answers to important questions. We have tried to anticipate what a number of your questions may be regarding our church. Do you have a nursery for my baby or preschooler?

	Yes, we have a nursery and a wonderful group of people who are here to serve you and provide wonderful care for your baby so that you can enjoy the service without distraction.

When should we arrive?

	Our Sunday School begins at 10am, but we invite you to come at 9:30 and enjoy a free cup of coffee and some good fellowship. Our morning worship begins at 11am.

How big is your church?

	On average we have between 125-150 people attending each Sunday.

How old is your church?

	Bethel Baptist Church was originally founded in 1890, but has undergone several additions over the years. Most recently, we opened our new Outreach Center in 2005.

Is your congregation older or younger?

	Our church has a good mixture of older and younger members. It is probably 50/50.

When are your worship services?

	Sunday’s at 11am and 6pm. Wednesday’s at 7pm.

What is the preaching and music like?

	Our Sunday morning worship is a traditional service. We have an adult choir and a praise team (Forever Grace) that leads us in worship (hymns and praise songs). The preaching is biblically based, upbeat, and relevant to your everyday life! You can listen to our sermons online, by clicking on the link located on the homepage.

What are the church office hours?

	The church office is open Monday – Friday 9am – 2pm

What time is Sunday School?

	Our Sunday School begins at 10am. We offer classes for all ages!

Do you offer the Awana program?

	Yes. Our Awana program meets every Sunday night at 5:30PM. It is for ages 3 through the 6th grade. For more information, check out our Awana link.

How do I get to Bethel Baptist Church?

	Bethel Baptist is located at 1193 White Oak Rd in Fredericksburg, VA between Falmouth and King George. Driving directions can be found on the Directions link.

Do you have Children’s Church?

	Yes. We have a great Children’s Church ministry that meets every Sunday morning. Our goal is to provide all children ages 4-8 with a meaningful worship experience! For more information, check out of Children’s Ministry link.

What should I wear to church?

	You can wear just about anything you like. Most of our folks dress in a semi-casual style. (Coat and tie is not required!)

Will I feel welcome at Bethel Baptist?

	Yes. It is our hope that anyone from any walk of life will feel welcome at Bethel Baptist.

Will I have to stand up in front of people?

	Guests are never asked to stand up, so don’t worry about being embarrassed! So while the people of Bethel are genuinely interested in getting to know you and making you feel welcome, we will try to do so in a way that is relaxed and comfortable!

What if I have a prayer request?

	There are a couple of convenient ways to get your prayer request to our church. You can go to our prayer request page and enter your request or you can email the pastor directly at jimdavidson777@cox.net

Do you have a youth ministry?

	Yes. We have a dynamic youth ministry called The Fortress led by our Youth Minister, Roger Woody. Our youth (7th-12th grade) meet every Sunday night at 5:30pm for Youth Group and Wednesday’s at 7pm for Discipleship Training. For more information, check out the Youth Ministry link.

What kind of church are you?

	Bethel Baptist Church is Bible based and Christ-centered! We are affiliated with the Fredericksburg Baptist Association which is part of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Do I have to be a member to participate?

	No. At Bethel Baptist you do not have to be a member to participate in any area of worship or Bible study. We offer many events and opportunities to the community and encourage participation by all members and non-members. However, membership is important because it shows your commitment to this body of believers and it allows you to vote on all church business and serve on church committees.

Why do newcomers make Bethel Baptist their church home?

	Based on the feedback we receive, newcomers experience Bethel Baptist as a warm and welcoming church that is family-friendly and Christ-centered! Most people describe Bethel as a great place to grow spiritually and enjoy Christian fellowship!
